Dr. Donald Calvin
Dr. Donald Calvin is an Optometrist in Hudson providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities.
As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Calvin provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments for all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Calvin is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. With this background, Dr. Calvin is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and hypertension.
Dr. Calvin works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of Dr. Calvin’s dedication to continuing education that our Hudson patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available
Dr. Calvin has over 40 years of experience practicing optometry in both the corporate and private practice fields of work. He has extensive experience with gas perm and specialty contact lenses like toric contacts for astigmatism. Dr. Calvin also specializes in unique and difficult prescriptions like severe myopia, hyperopia, and vertical and horizontal prisms. He especially enjoys finding a challenging vision solution for patients or delivering a 2nd opinion.
In the fall of 2019, Dr. Calvin went on a heartwarming mission trip to Bolivia in South America. While there he performed eye-health exams on patients from young to old and from morning until night for 7 days. He enjoyed getting to meet the locals and being able to service the poor in Bolivia.

Manager
Mark started working as a lab technician at Hudson Optical in 1990. Shortly afterwards he progressed to being an optician. Since then he has been the manager at Hudson Optical. Mark has extensive experience teaching optician skills as well as teaching patients how to properly insert and remove contact lenses. He Has taught over 1,000 patients how to successfully start wearing contact lenses. Mark especially enjoys challenges, such as trouble shooting vision problems with new glasses, or very complex prescriptions. He mostly enjoys helping generation after generation with all of their visual needs, from new eyeglasses to new contact lenses.
Susan T.
Optician
Susan brings a wealth of experience to Hudson Optical. She has over 25 years optician experience working from big chains to small optometric offices to opthalmology groups. Her expertise areas include frame and lens selection, prescription problem solving, advanced frame repair, and much more.
For fun she enjoys movies, her family and grandson, and of course the Minnesota state fair.

Angie has multiple years of being a valuable team member in the eyecare community. Her extensive experience involves working both private and retail chain optical stores. She has expertise in frame and lens selection, contact lens information and technology, prescription problem solving, different types of frame repair, and more.
